My male Lovebirds mate recently passed away. Is it possible to introduce him to another bird?

Yes, but introduce very slowly, or they may try to kill eachother. Just keep them in side by side cages for a while with supervised play time outside the cage. Once they like each other outside without quarreling, you can put them together- just watch them for the first couple days

Yes but remember there is no sure thing. You will need to get a new bird and keep it separate from your bird for about 30-90 days and be sure it gets a vet check by a avian vet. Also if your sure it is a male get another male. That way no worry about babies. Let them get to know each other after Q is over but I would wait awhile before caging them together. I have had many lovebirds. Right now I have a single female and she is deeply bonded to me. So single lovebirds are OK also.

You can. If you get another one, put it in a cage next to the one you have and let them see each other in safety and wait until it seems like they are into each other. Lovebirds are mean and if they don't want the new mate, they can kill it.

Nothing wrong with just having one either. We have one and he's bonded to us and does fine alone. We spend alot of time with him.

A male lovebird acquaintances with as many females human beings as he can as a thank you to proceed his line. as immediately as a pair of lovebirds reaches a million twelve months previous, it particularly is sexual adulthood, the male feeds the female and dances round her. it particularly is his way of dating her. extra ideal you get particularly a number of lovebirds of a million twelve months previous on your male lovebird.

Yes. I've found that lovebirds really need companionship and unless you're going to stay with him 24/7 you should get him another mate.

    Good luck.
