Charging problem?

My phone maintains a charge, but when on the charger, doesn't like to charge. The phone acts as if not on the charger. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this. My phone is a V551 Moterolla by Cingular. It is about one year old, and needs to last about another year.

Update:

It doesn't work at all on my car charger, and my home charger doesn't like to work...u have to play with it to get it to work.

Are you sure it's not the charger?

Ok then, this happened to one of my nokia phones before. I even took it to a phone shop and they told me it would never work again. I ended up just buying a new phone because it went dead. A few months later i found the phone and decided to turn it on, it worked perfectly and i have no idea why. The only reason i could come up with was that it had gotten water damaged and once it completely dried out it was fine.

first, shut the phone off. take the battery out, clean the connections, both at the battery/phone, and at the battery/charger (or phone/charger) do this with a safe product, or just a slightly damp cloth.

then, replace the battery, make sure its in all the way, and turn the phone back on.

if that dosnt help, it may be the charger, try getting a new one. try that one out, if that dosnt help, its the phone, and your sh*t outa luck then my friend.

and return the charger if it dosnt help, and if it does, put the old one in the box and return that one!

thats called being a smart consumer.

The only answer that I can give you for this is that the tip of your charger that goes into the phone has a shortage and may needs to be replaced.
