Have any of you ever gotten a Q-tip stuck in your ear?
I just heard a story today about a congressman who had to go to the hospital because he got a q-tip stuck in his ear. Since then, I've heard numersous stories about similar incidents. Just how common is this?

no. I haven't. But I worked as a paramedic for 6 years, and the things people stick in their ears are fantastic. While I haven't seen a q-tip, I have seen pencils, pens, bobby-pins, crayons and loads of other things while working, including once, a finger that the person could not get out of their ear.

I know that it is possible but it scares me to think that anyone over five would actually get a q-tip stuck in their ear. I mean seriously wouldn't you have to be trying to clean your brain or something.

No, yet i understand my chum's youthful sister did and it bled slightly that evening. whilst she awoke the subsequent morning, her entire pillow replaced into soaked in blood and that i've got self assurance she broke a element of her ear drum, yet she's fantastic now, thank goodness!! =)
