  • I've written a book and most of its sequel as well as plotting out several more volumes.?

I have gotten a number of people to read the book, and have gotten thumbs up from the most critical readers I could find.

I have read a lot of FAQ's for Writers and I have yet to find anywhere that suggests how the first three chapters of a manuscript should be put together before submitting to an agent.

Should I have it bound, in a ring folder, or what?

Anyone out there with any ideas?

  • An advert of an overweight man, after filling his hand basket with everything he needs, has to buy more.?

It is a Sainsbury's advert. He talks to someone with his mobile, and says he has everything, and then goes off to buy more.

He is already overweight, has everything he needs. Why are we being encouraged by our supermarkets to buy and the inference is to eat, far more than we should?

While I can appreciate the lower prices, and right now, with the job situation being as it is, it does mean I can actually pay some of my other bills, why suggest that we need to eat more, and become ever more over weight?

  • Why do people state that science does not teach values and morals?

I trained as a scientist. My training taught me to value honesty, doubt, and gave me a great respect for evidence. Science promotes openness, accountability and tolerance. And perhaps best of all it requires those who practice science to be willing to listen to and respect opposing points of view.

Are not these values and morals important?

  • What colours are acceptable for guests to wear at a Roman Catholic Christening?

We've been invited to such a christening, and we have heard some conflicting views on what colours are acceptable for men and women to wear.

Can women or men wear black or red clothing? What colours are not allowed, and why?

    Thanks in advance...

  • Now that Australians are eating feral cat, when can we expect the rest of the western world to join them?

Wild (feral) cat casserole, said to taste like a cross between rabbit and chicken.

Feral cats are not just a serious threat to Australia's native fauna, but have also been shown to be a major reason for the reduction of song birds in the UK, Europe and the US. As pet cat populations have soared in the western world, wildlife experts have also shown that our pet tabbies are a primary factor in the reduction of song birds and small mammals when ever we let them out.

And where ever we have pet cats, feral cats are soon to follow.

Of course this is most noticeable in Australia, where marsupials have almost been completely wiped out by marauding pets and their wild feral relatives.

So, should we all tuck into cat casserole, become friends of the earth and save the worlds precious wild life?

    Any thoughts?

  • Will the Religious start to use 't Hooft's theory of Quantum Mechanics to prove there is no free will

't Hooft got a Nobel prise for his contribution to Quantum Mechanics. His theory is being hotly debated by Mathematicians and Physics departments world wide as it seems to prove that free will does not exist, that everything that is done and that we do, was determined at the time of the Big Bang.

Some Mathematicians feel we need to redefine what Free Will means.

Could this be a case of Science being used to prove some of the tenants contained within religious beliefs?

  • Another odd dream last night/ this morning, any answers out there?

I was part of a group of people, who were walking from one place to another. I don’t know where we were going, but the trip required us to walk up and down mountains, through fields, along paths, along canals. At one point, a duck started waddling in front of us, where ever we went. It was like the duck was leading the group. I was helping people up this one rough section of path, and when I reached the top, there was a large lake, that spread out in front of us. We were carefully navigating the soggy shoreline and speculating if the duck would swim away or continue waddling in front of us, and I woke up.

    What does that duck mean?

  • President GW Bush says that his administration does not follow a reality based agenda. is this why he denies?

He and his administration not only deny that climate change is occurring but also takes an active role in falsifying the scientific reports, research results and recommendations produced by federally funded research bodies as well as all federally funded scientific organisations?

Why do the American People allow him to change other peoples works, and prevent those who produced the work, from speaking out against the falsification of their work? Why do they want the American People to remain ignorant of the Truth on what is happening to the world by the policies the US follows.

  • Where are the toilets on the Tardis? This and where they flush is important.?

Are we the result of a Time Lord going back in time, to find the beginning of life on the Earth, and on finding nothing and no start of life, when they left, does the Tardis automatically flush, and thereby start life on Earth.

Could this explain why we are in the mess we are in now?

Adulterers can be prosecuted for first-degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony punishable by up to life in prison. At least in the great state of Michigan. Does this seem to be the best way to handle adultery?

  • Has the UK, become a third world country, with the politicians deciding who can be investigated, and who can't

Senior members of the Labour party, have criticised the police, for doing their job as they have always done it.

When Tory officials are arrested in a dawn raid, it is fine. But when Labour officials are arrested in the same way, it is wrong.

Has Britain, as described by a recent report by one of the highest legal eagles, really become the same as a third world country when it comes to political interference in the the work the police does?

  • The level of nicotine in cigarettes keeps rising.?

Tobacco company records in the 1950s and 1960s show that they successfully bred tobacco plants that had higher concentrations of nicotine, and sold the seeds of these plants to farmers. Nicotine levels rose during the 1970s and 1980.

Now, it has been found that between 1998 and 2005 there has been an 11% increase in nicotine levels smokers’ inhale from cigarettes, making it harder for smokers to quit smoking.

Why do we let tobacco companies get away with this?

  • Now that they have found a cheap, safe drug that kills most cancers, isn’t it a shame?

that pharmaceutical companies are unlikely to pay for the drug testing required because they can’t make money on unpatented medicines. The drug, dichloroacetate (DCA), has already been used for years to treat rare metabolic disorders, is known to be relatively safe, it also has no patent, so anyone could manufacturer it for a fraction of the cost of newly developed drugs. In tests it has killed lung, breast and brain cancer cells, but not healthy cells. All we now need is human trials, yet pharmaceutical companies are saying they will not help.

Shouldn’t we try to get our governments involved? Shouldn't we be complaining to the Drug companies? Shouldn't we be complaining to everyone?

  • I had a very odd dream last night. I woke up shivering and feeling very bad. What does the dream mean?

I got a job at a school teaching something. All the teachers were tasked with taking the students on trips. I was informed that I would be driving the bus for this trip. I explained that I didn’t have the experience of driving a bus, but was told that I had to anyway. I even put it in writing, and got a letter back saying that if I didn’t, I wouldn’t have a job. For some reason, I couldn’t get another job, so I had to do the bus driving. So we went off down the road on a rainy day. The wipers were going back and forth, the students were normal, yelling and screaming, singing songs, chanting chants and generally having loads of fun. Driving was bad, but I was coping. The bus had this tendency to fight against me every minute. I had to press the brakes hard, and put the hand brake on, when the gear shift was in neutral, or else the bus would slowly move forwards or backwards, depending on what gear I had previously had the gearshift in....

  • Should men and women be allowed to cover their faces in public?

According to a Senior British policemen interviewed on Radio 4 last week, they have asked Parliament to pass laws to make it illegal for men to cover their faces at any time in a public place. Yet he stated that Senior policemen supported the right for women to cover their faces in public.

Is this a case of Sexual Discrimination or Political / Religious Correctness?

Part of his argument is that it makes it difficult to identify people in case the police need to arrest them.

As the majority of men do not commit crimes, should the majority of men pay for the actions of a minority?

If a fashion was started for men to wear veils, should those who wear them be incarcerated for following fashion?

  • I have an Indesit Tumble dryer. The door seal came off. I have a new one, but does anyone know how to get it on

I've tried everyway I can think of to get it on, but it keeps binding with the drum. I've tried sending an email to the manufacturer, but have had no reply. The orginal seemed streached, so I got another one from the company I puchased the dryer from but it came with no instructions. The manual that comes with the dryer seems to suggest that all you have to do is put in in. Is there some special tool to use? Do you need to do something special to the doorseal? Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance.
