Can anyone recommend a good doctor, specializing in endometriosis?
I live in the Columbus, Ohio area and am especially interested in someone who could perform excision surgery. I was diagnosed with endo 7 years ago, and have found all the hormonal treatment options not especially helpful and with awful side effects... I've already had 2 surgeries and have seen 4 or 5 different doctors, and I feel like I'm hitting a brick wall in my options. I'm really frustrated and depressed over the lack of relief from this condition...
4 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoHas anyone had endometriosis excised surgically?
I've been looking online and some doctors are quoting this as a "cure" for endometriosis. I've been through pretty much every treatment in the books for endo, including 2 laproscopies, lupron injections, birth control pills, etc, etc. I find this disease and the lack of true treatment very frustrating and depressing. Any thoughts on the excision cure? thanks.
12 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoAre you ever able to return unused medicine to the pharmacy for a refund?
My insurance plan has a mandatory mail-order prescription plan. I had to order a 3 month supply of birth control pills, however I only used 1 packet before I had to stop because of the side effects. I have 2 unused, sealed pill packets left. It seems a shame for them to go to waste and for me to flush 50 bucks down the drain, too. Does anyone have any other suggestions? or know of charities that would accept the pills as a donation?
12 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoIs it OK to stop taking the Pill mid-cycle?
I just recently started back on the Pill--I'm about a week half into my second packet. I'm having tons of side effects, including getting super sick to my stomach every afternoon, so much so that it is extremely difficult to function at work. I can't get through to my OB/GYN--he's out of town until next week. I want to quit the Pill now, but am afraid of any adverse reaction to just quitting in the middle...
6 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoWhat would cause holes in my yard?
There are dime-sized holes all over our back yard. The grass is dead in about a 3 inch radius around the hole. We live in central Ohio, and it isn't our year for the 17-year cicadias. The holes are too small for moles or gophers and there's no raised ground or other damage around the hole. It isn't digging like a squirrel would do, either. Could it be insects or grubs or spiders of some kind? I've never seen anything go in or out of the hole. I am baffled.

5 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoCan anyone tell me what foul and musabaheh are?
I just read a story about a hummus place in Jerusalem and the three items on their menu are: hummus, foul and musabaheh. I love hummus and Middle Eastern food and am just curious to know what these items refer to.
(here's the story in case you're interested: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16678456/ )
3 AnswersEthnic Cuisine1 decade agoWhat do you think about "blood diamonds" or conflict diamonds? Have you seen the new movie?
In light of the new movie, Blood Diamond, I would like to hear your thoughts on giving the gift of diamond jewelry if you thought it could have cost people their hands even their lives. Is it enough to ask your jeweler that the diamond is 'conflict free' when there is no way to really know where it originated?
5 AnswersMovies1 decade agoHave any of you ever gotten a Q-tip stuck in your ear?
I just heard a story today about a congressman who had to go to the hospital because he got a q-tip stuck in his ear. Since then, I've heard numersous stories about similar incidents. Just how common is this?

3 AnswersOther - Home & Garden1 decade agoMy dream job is to be an international photographer. Any tips on how to begin pursuing this?
I'd love to take pictures for National Geographic or some sort of NGO/humanitarian organization. My degree is in history and international studies, and I've taken one photography class. I've travelled extensively and love both photography and travelling. Any recommendations for further education? How could I begin to market myself in this field?

Are there any expert opinions or experienced users out there? On one hand, I've heard that they are great...and on the other hand I've also heard that they don't really do anything and can actually be dangerous. Anyone care to set the record straight for me?
