If you're looking for great restaurants to dine at, at Walt Disney World then the California Grill is a must! My boyfriend and I dined there for our first time this past August and had a wonderful time. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and the location is fabulous, but I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you have younger kids. It's one of Disney's upscale restaurants where a lot of adults go for a fun, romantic, intimate setting. Anyway, the service is exquisite, as well the food. For an appetizer I had the BLT Flatbread. I'm not sure that it's on the menu anywhere, but it was fantastic! For an entree I had the pan-seared scallops. They were excellent, of course. For dessert I had this "honey crunch cake." It was just a little white cake with a whipped cream frosting with a little bit of "honey crunch" on top, served in a tea gelee with mangos and peaches (my two favorite fruit.) It was the most incredible dessert I've ever tried! I think the menu's changed a bit, but I'd imagine the food's still just as good. The best thing about this restaurant is the view. It has a perfect view of the entire Magic Kingdom Park. Make reservations for about an hour before the Magic Kingdom fireworks show. When they start you can go out onto the deck and watch them, and the music is piped in live so you get almost the same experience as watching it from the actual park.

I know everything there is to know about Walt Disney World and I love to vacation there. My favorite part is dining at all the amazing restaurants. If you'd like to know anymore information about any of the restaurants (I've dined at most of them, but know about every one anyway) feel free to email me at Katlyn086@yahoo.com

Here, this website is very helpful for planning a Walt Disney World vacation. I use it to pick out what restaurants I want to eat at because there's a great dining section...

There are many exceptional disney resorts. Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter, and Riverside have continuously been my favorites. They are household hotels. A lot of individuals come to those hotels with households, and youngsters however plenty quieter than the All celebrity hotels. All celebrity hotels,(Music, Sports, Movies, Pop Century) are the most cost effective, however they are able to get very crowded, and in case your proposal was once to not have a ton of youngsters there, this could now not be for you. There also are the extra better scale watching resorts just like the Beach and Yacht Club hotels, and the Boardwalk. If you do not brain now not staying in a Disney inn, Swan and Dolphin are choices. They are nonetheless on Disney estate, however now not a disney motel. They nonetheless have transportation to the entire disney parks. I'm now not certain if is as traditionally as in case you had been to stick at a disney inn, however in case you keep at a disney motel, buses come each and every 15 min. I could endorse now not staying off disney estate. Even the resorts that experience transportation from side to side to the parks, they don't seem to be as widespread, and it turns into a truly inconvenience. I wish I helped you out.

Not sure - many years ago (17 years ago) my children were 5 and 10 - we would ride the train to the Contemporary Hotel about 4:30 PM - take the children to the Ladie's room to wash their hand and faces- proceed to the bar for a cocktail before dinner; then, go to a delightful buffet upstairs- complete with Chip & Dale and other characters !!!!

After dinner we would return to Disney activities in one of the theme parks - it was a welcome retreat from the heat, a good dinner, and a great break for the children!!!

Also, on our second trip to WDW, we dined at Cinderella's Castle ( our friends on the 1st trip insisted that reservations were impossible to obtain; however, about 4 :30 or 5:00 PM one afternoon, we decided to inquire - they said come back about 5 or 5:15 PM - we had a MARVELOUS meal and our children (now ages 12 and 17) met and had their pictures made with a lovely Cinderella !!!!

The chowder in the bread bowl in Colonial Ameica was great!! And, the smoked turkey leg in one of the amusement parks was interesting. And, dinner at the Norway restaurant in Epcot was a Godsend one night during a bad rain storm !!!

Have a GREAT time - WDW is truely a MARVELOUS vacation for children of ALL ages - I would love to go back - perhaps, someday, I will have grandchildren - I will definitely take them !!!!
