How much energy or electricity is consumed by christmas lights?

Just wondering if there are some statistics on this anywhere.

Update:

I should limit it to the US. I am not interested in comparing it to any other devices.

I only know the dollar amounts. For 300 mini bulbs: $4.92 for 5 hours a day over 45 days. For 300 old-fashioned big bulbs, $76.00 for the same time. For 300 of the new LED lights, 47 cents.

Anyway it will be less than the energy for the computers and networks which are being wasted for unnecessary usage.
