How do I turn a whole persimmon into pulp?
I have a persimmon cookie recipe that calls for pulp, but I don't know how to get it. :)

If you have persimmons they should be soft or else they will be too astringent to use. Freezing the fruit overnight and then thawing softens the fruit and also removes the astringency.
If they are not soft you can also do this: wrap them in newspaper or put them in a brown paper bag and leave them sitting at room temperature until they are soft. You can just scrap the pulp from the skin with a spoon

peel it and push it thru a strainer.
the round ones are usually ripe when firm
the pointier ones are not ripe until they start shrivelling up and get real soft. (they almost look spoiled)
had some this morning!
