Who should i start @ running back during week 14 ?

I would go with Jackson and Jacobs. Jackson because he is a must start and will put up good numbers vs any team. Also Jacobs because he has a good chance of scoring every game. If the giants get the ball inside the 5 yard line Jacobs will punch it in. Not Houstan because he shares carries with three other players. He might have gotten the carries last week but this week it might be leon washington or barlow. He is not a safe pick.

I'll do this a logical way by process of elimination:

I don't think Brandon Jacobs will get you more than 10 pts against Carolina. It's easy to move the ball passing on Carolina, but not running. He may get a touchdown and around 30 total yards. But, if that's all you ask for out of your guys, so be it.

According to John Clayton of ESPN (even though he isn't my best fantasy source), he says that Miami would love for Harrington to move the ball passing on New England. Whether or not they can do it is the problem. So passing the ball will take some carries from Morris plus, I don't think Miami can move the ball on the Patriots period. So Morris is out.

As for Fason, as much as Detroit sucks at stopping any team, Fason has to share some some carries with Mewelde Moore. Even before Chester's injury, Moore was #2 on the depth chart. I think the only way Fason can get serious points, is if he busts a big touchdow run. And that CAN happen, I just don't think it will.

My last elimination, is Houston. I know he did good last week, but there are 3 problems. First of all, he faced GREEN BAY! Buffalo is much better against the run. Secondly, Barlow didn't even dress last week. In practice, he is getting a lot of carries and he and Leon Washington will split with Houston. If you thought splitting with 2 backs was hard, try 3. And finally, in Lambeau, teams rarely pass in that weather. The ball is hard to grip and to catch with your fingers so numb. So that's why Houston had such an outstanding game. (I have Houston on my team too, and I benched him this week for Maurice Jones-Drew so even I'm using my advice)

And Dunn, with Atlanta's pass game struggling, they WILL run the football. And even though Chicago is good at stopping the run, 3 guys have broken 100 yards on them this year and they also have their star DT, Tommie Harris, out with injuries.

I'm a bears fan and i'll even admit Chicago's run defence has been trash lately, Plus the game is IN St.Louis so Steven Jackson will have a good game on the ground, and even if he can't get it going by running the ball he leads all running backs in recieving yards, so you can't go wrong there.

Dunn, Fason and Houston all have favorable matches against shakey run defences.

Morris will have a rough game against a tough New England team

and Jacobs is the Giants Premier goalline back in New York.

With all this in mind i would rank the players as such..

1. Jackson

2. Dunn

3. Jacobs

4. Houston

5. Fason

6. Morris

It depends on how the league is set up. If touchdowns are six points and 20 rushing yards are one point (and points aren't given for catches on top of receiving yards and td catches), then I go with Brandon Jacobs because he's a good bet to find the end zone and Warrick Dunn because he is consistent when he gets the carries. Still, Steven Jackson vs. the Bears isn't a bad match-up at this point.

I would start Jackson and Dunn. Jackson is a must start every week. Dunn is due for a great game. Playing against his old team gives him an added incentive to do well. I'm not sold on Vicks passing accuracy or his recceivers abilities. Vick and Dunn must run to beat Tampa so he should get plenty of carries.

I would go with Dunn and Jacobs. Dunn should do well if he gets more carries than Norwood and Jacobs gets all the goal line situations. Jacobs should score at least a TD in my opinon. Hope it helps!

Dunn and Houston have the best matchups. Tampa can be run on and Buffalo has one of the worst run defenses in the league.

If the Rams are playing at Chicago, I would go with Warrick Dunn instead. If they are playing at St. Louis then I would go with Jackson. I also agree on going with Cedric Houston.

Dunn owns TB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like jacobs as the #2.
