Being the Christmas season, what would you give Jesus as a present?

giving to the poor visting those who are in prision feeding the hungry

I'm wherever Jesus is welcome. When merchants began promoting "Happy Holidays" instead of the traditional "Merry Christmas", we immediately stopped shopping for Christmas and got involved in a huge and growing effort to avoid the "present" thing altogether. That began with all our family we could reach, friends, churches. The money and time saved have been diverted to ministries. Stores are begging back old business, or they might fail this year. Sorry. Their motive is only money while still trying to cash in on a holiday they are letting sweep away. The parking lots around almost all except Wal Mart are always quite empty, and the usual temporary workers are not being hired. We support businesses that are not ashamed of Jesus, and they are doing good business, but are not merchants of "stuff" for presents. Isn't it interesting that Christmas was once so popular with a "natural" event of season shopping by supposedly a majority being Christians, bringing a boon to stores, but since Jesus began being omitted, there is much failure? I think there will be a flood of closed stores and rise in unemployment soon after a very lean Christmas. Several of the major department stores are already doing clearance sales, the shelves not being restocked. Grocers are cutting back on variety, like one brand of peanut butter, saltines, canned fruit, etc. Not looking so good for those not having blessing from God.

I think the best present for Jesus would be my total devotion and respect. To give him my life. Some of the answers from others on here are aweful. I guess they just want to burn forever. We have to pray hard for these lost souls. That would be a great present for the Lord also, to pray for those lost souls!!

I wouldn't give him anything. December 25th isn't his birthday, it was the Roman Winter Solstice, Sol Invictus, and the date of the death and rebirth of the sun to most Mediterranean cultures. Christianity coopted the date in the fourth century to compete with these more popular religions.

And since he's been dead for 2,000, I seriously doubt he will be opening any presents.

Some new sandals. Those ones He had in the Gospels are probably old. Maybe some Birkenstocks -- he probably would wear those.

Good question! The thing is God doesn't need anything from me, in fact, it is already His. The thing I could do though would be to live a more godly life...be more Christlike. He wants that from us!

If he were on my list, he'd be getting cookies like everyone else. Fortunately he's not, since I already have WAY too many people on my list.

I would stop celebrating a holiday that is derived from pagan traditions, that is full of lies and totally dishonors his name. By doing this, I know he will be very pleased.

I'd give him a big hug and apologies for all the things other people have said about him:)
