In hockey circles, I've heard of a move called "the Michigan"...anyone know what it is? where it came from?

There was a player from the Univeristy of Michigan who scored a goal in the National Championship game from behind the net. He used the blade of his stick to pick the puck up and then "threw" it into the top corner of the net over the goalie's shoulder. You have to see the film of it to even believe it.

Chris has the guy (Mike Legg) and the answer above talks of the situation. Fantastic goal; many youth an bar league players try this one. I actually had a guy on my bar league team pull it off this year!

I think it MIGHT (as in maybe) be where, when in the old days without plexiglass shields whoever scored a goal would jump into the stands behind the net. I think it moved to football too!
