Is it true the TV cartoon for .Hack takes place before the first game (/Infection)?
I'm just getting into the games and was wondering if the show would be a good place to start?

The show would be an excellent place to start. but that doesn't mean don't play the game. go ahead and watch when you can and play when you can. the entire storyline will fall into place as you progress through the series and the games. just have fun and enjoy the experiance.
