Abdominal cramps at 4 weeks pregnant normal?

Update:

As far as calling my doctor...that's a joke. I am in the Army and they wont see me until I am at least 6 weeks pregnant. SO, the only way to be seen right now would be to go to the Post ER but they don't really give the best care. Anyways, I just wanted to get peace of mind so that I could releax tonight. Thanks so much! :-)

I had the pain from the very beginning to around the 2nd OR 3rd mth so yes its normal. The pain you should be feeling will be very close to period pains altho some can be a little worse than period pains. If these pains become in any way unbearable OR severe then you MUST have them checked even if its hard work to get seen!!

However it does sound normal to me and these pains are called "stretching pains" because your baby is growing and your womb is stretching etc... Very normal and to be honest you may get used to them cause i'm now 5mths pregnant and still have them!!

Yes, very normal. The fetus is embedding itself into your uterine wall. The cramps will subside by 8 or 9 weeks.

You will have cramping and discomfort early in the pregnancy........However if you get in so much pain that you can't walk or stand straight.........GO TO THE DR. in a fast hurry. But normally it's the uterus stretching to accompany the baby's growth.
