    yay :D i luv frikadella

    we eat them a lot in Denmark aswell.

    You can make them in lotsa ways... but here is the german recipe you asked for ;-)

    What you need to make a frikadelle

    ~ 250gr mincemeat from pork

    ~ 250gr mince meat from beef

    ~ 1 onion sliced

    ~ breadcrumbs

    ~ salt to taste

    ~ pepper to taste

    ~ 1 Egg

    ~ 1 breadroll

    ~ bowl with water

    ~ cooking fat

    How to make this german kid recipe

    ~ put pork and beef meat into a mixing bowl

    ~ cut the onion into small pieces an mix in as well

    ~ add a pich of salt and pepper to taste

    ~ add 1 egg ( crack the egg into a spearate cup when cooking with kids so you dont get any egg shell pices accidentally into the mixture ;-)

    ~ knead the frikadelle mixture well with your fingers

    ~ take the breadroll and put it into some water so it gets wet and soft right though

    ~ add the soft breadroll to the frikadelle mix and knead again until everything is mixed well

    ~ take a handful of the frikadelle mix and form a ball into your hands

    ~ roll the ball into the breadcrumb mixture until covered well

    ~ put the ball onto a plate and bash on top of it with your hand to flatten it slightly

    ~ heat the cooking fat and fry the frikadelle ( bulette) until golden brown on both sides

    How to eat German Frikadelle

    ~ often served with a slice of german bread made from rye and german mustard

    ~ delicious when eaten with a portion of german potato salad

    My mom used to bake Pork Roast & Sauerkraut. Or Polish Sausage & Sauerkraut. You could also do an easy boiled supper (not really German though) - 1 corned beef brisket 1 head cabbage cut in quarters Red Potatoes Baby Carrots Baby Vidalia or Sweet Onions The meat will take about 3 hours to boil. The potatoes & carrots will need about 45 minutes, the onions about 20 & the cabbage about 10 minutes. My husband LOVES this dinner & it makes for excellent leftovers.

    russians make a soup with frikadella, its basicaly little hamburger balls (ground beef, onion, salt) boiled in water with chopped carrots, pasta, parsly, and root of celery

    I thought it was South African. It is just minced meat that has been spiced up and some onion and bread added.
