The Iraqi government is still susceptible to a military coupe. Once this possibility is not a possibility we will leave. The 300'000 strong Iraqi army will decimate the Al-Sadir Shiite Extremist militia killing tens of thousands of innocent bystander's in the process. We cannot allow such blanketing while we are still on the ground in Iraq. Our goal is to have a moderate Shiite government unlike the Iranian extremist Shiite government. Make no mistake....the stakes are huge.

Gee...there were 360 gun related deaths in Philadelphia so far this year..more in washington and chicago. If the world used these statistics ( times 4 years = more that US deaths in Iraq) to describe America we would look pretty bad. Every death is one too many, but there is a lot more places in Iraq than Baghdad...just like there are a lot more cities in the USA than Camden etc.

Maybe we should pull out of all the cities in the USA where crime abounds. It would certainly save lives.

So Sam S if we follow your logic since there are over 19,000 Americans murdered every year we should pull out some the American cities with the highest murder rate and just throw our hands up and say to hell with it.

We're trying to establish a country for these people where they dont live in fear of being car bombed each day. Those statistics show that a better society NEEDS to be established for those poor people

They are killing themselves. We are trying to strengthen their government so they can stand on their own two feet.
