Are males becoming extinct in govt?

I am aware of two cases in which it appears males are being railroaded out of their jobs when a woman who shares equal responsibility is not even being questioned.

In one case the male (GS-13) is being implicated by a woman (GS-12) for making a comments about sex. During the conversation she responded back with equal sex comments and at no time ever indicated she was disgusted with the conversation. The male was put on LWOP and is in danger of losing his job. Doesnt the woman share responsibility for responding?

The second example a female (GS-12) and a male (GS-11) have a sexual relationship and both are being accused of being absent from their work stations for extended times. They are both also guilty of misusing govt equipment. The man has been put on LWOP. The woman continues to work. It appears that males are considered guilty until proven innocent. Your thoughts are appreciated.

You bring up a good point about sexual harassment. There is a definate double standard. Employer's are liable for sexual harassment if they have been warned about it, that why men accused of it are normally put on LWOP. The situation is so serious that men are often afraid to approach women or even be near them in company cafeterias bc they are so afraid of sexual harassment claims.

Men should be wary in the private sector are realize that there is a double standard. However, in the government employees are treated much more fairly. Any tenured employee can appeal any adverse personnel action taken against them to the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB). So men in the government have much less to worry about.

I don't know what "GS-12" refers to - is this in the army? In any case it doesn't sound fair, but I agree with others here that this has no bearing on the larger question of males becoming extinct, which is a completely absurd question at this point. Get back to me when 84% of congress is female, women have been the last 43 presidents and there is only 1 man on the Supreme Court.

we can in problem-free words wish... :-) yet heavily, because the responses above reported, male/female we are an same species. With our cutting-edge biology we choose the male to live to inform the tale as a species and with the complexity of the human genome (or any mammal) it truly is not in all possibility for the genetic make-as a lot as have a mutation that can make up for the disappearance of the male of the species. no longer to point that mutations do no longer take position purely because they'd be useful. So, the ratio of adult males to women human beings will be declining yet cultural pressures (if no longer something else) might want to verify that they don't disappear thoroughly. besides, information like which will be a common version and at a at the same time as ought to shift lower back to 50/50 or to fewer women human beings being born. we've not been preserving precise stats in this manner of element all that lengthy.

Perhaps there is more going on than you are aware of. There may be other instances of sexual misconduct in the personnel files

But don't worry men will never be extinct in the workplace - espcially in government jobs - men still run the world

It's about time. just look at the Washington mess the men have created. Put some of them out to pasture, it's time for a change. Let's see if the women "wink at" $600 dollar toilet seats.

This is very ridiculous. Men far outnumber the women in government. If males do eventually become extinct, then maybe we'll live in a better place. Who knows?

Your question really has nothing to do with the extinction of males in gov't.

    However...

The majority of sex offenders ARE males, so that is why they are generally blamed more than females. It might not be fair, but sometimes it's the truth.

Hopefully in the next election we will see a woman in formally a man's position! That's when you know that woman have broken through the glass ceiling.

I would hardly call that becoming "extinct". There are still far more males in government. If the incidences you are referring to are accurate they are indeed unfair and should be re-examined.

Men still greatly out number women in government.
