In answer to your first question, I'm not sure who is the authority that would be able to say whether or not we survive. There are those who believe they have that authority and depending on whether they act on it or not is going to determine if we do survive or not.

Can we survive? That depends, of how we conduct ourselves in the next few years, because from all indications, we are going to be in serious trouble if something isn't done to resolve some of the problems we are experiencing right now. There are indications that we're going have some serious problems regarding the oil reserves and that has to be resolved immediately. Because in spite of what the media is saying, and what they are wanting us to believe, we are fast running out of oil.

Your last question asks what life will be like in 50 years. By some miracle, should we make 50 years, without blowing ourselves up, or destroying what's left of the world, and we somehow manage to find lasting peace, I can see where so many new technological advances will be made. Things we can't even imagine will be coming along that would literally astound all of us. There is a thing called nanotechnology which is possibly going to change our lives forever. This is especially going to revolutionize medicine as we know today. The advances we have made in the last five years, have exceeded all the progress man made since the sticks and stones. So just imagine what it's gonna be like in 50 years. I sure wish I could be around to see that.

Personally I believe the human race doesn't deserve to die. However we all need to be better to the environment because global warming is on our way, and if we don't do anything about it then who knows how life will be like in the next 50 years, maybe we'll have more health problems maybe we will all be close to death, but either way we should all contribute in making the world a better place because earth is our home and we should treat it better.

Personally, I think that humans don't deserve to survive. We kill each-other, manipulate everything for our gain, we're an egocentric species, and the way we've treated our planet is outrageous. Unfortunately we can survive, humans are one of the most intelligent animal (mammal) on this planet. But for the sake of the universe and this planet, I hope that the human species are wiped out because what have we done to show we deserve to survive?

Only some of the human race deserves to live. the "dumb American" Most of the human race doesnt even put thier lives to good value... some take it and toss it right back to the grave. on the other hand... thier are people who desrve to live to the fullest because some value thier lives more than others.

well some humans do, but I think that in 50 years it will be sooooo hard! well in ten years don't even be able to stay on the sun for 2 hours!!! so in 50 I am not sure, cause a lot of elderly people died this or last summer in here the US.

i think we as a species have failed, and that some day soon, Mother Earth will do something for balance, maybe december 21 2012
