What is JavaScript?

My Email seems to want to switch from one email version to another. Says I must have JavaScript on my browser. I'm not sure what that is or if I even have it. It says that if I don't have it my option is to go back to the older email version. I'm not even sure which one that is or which one I'm currently using.

Precisely JavaScript is a script language.A system of programming codes, that can be embedded into the HTML of a web page to add functionality, created by Netscape.

You don't need to be confused, just update your browser and then you can use your new layout that your e-mail provider provides you, till then you can use your old fasioned layout :)

    Regards
