My 2 wk old grand baby seems to be waking up with her eye full of mucus. Is there something we can do for her at home until the peditrician can see her? Is this serious or common?

My Email seems to want to switch from one email version to another. Says I must have JavaScript on my browser. I'm not sure what that is or if I even have it. It says that if I don't have it my option is to go back to the older email version. I'm not even sure which one that is or which one I'm currently using.
