Did anyone watch the Geminid meteor shower last night?

This is supposed to be one of the most spectacular meteor showers, but there was so much fog where I live I wasn't able to watch it. Maybe tonight I can see the tail end of it. Hopefully its clear here.

the finest viewing will nonetheless be out faraway from the light fixtures of the city. in case you'll locate an section with little or no gentle pollution, go there. this is certain to be more desirable ideal than in a suburb. you ought to rigidity somewhat to stumble on a niche like this, although this is properly worth it - the Geminids come actually once a 365 days. in case you could't do this, a minimum of attempt to stumble on a niche the position the light fixtures are screened from you, like on the darkish aspect of a construction, or with some thing good between you and the light fixtures. also, enable a minimum of 5 minutes for your eyes to regulate to the darkish.

I would have liked to, as I love astronomy. The sky was clear, so visiblity, other than the constant problem of urban night light, I should have been able to see them (theoretically), however, I didn't quite have the opportunity. See the remark about the high level of light from the urban landscape (curse that urban light pollution!) The best viewing was also way after my bedtime!
