If it is your first time, most people will feel several changes already; these include - liking for certain foods, aversion to certain others (quite distinct from the usual pre-pregnant likes and dislikes) and also the morning sickness especially in the early mornings (of course everyone does not feel this) hormonal changes; the most obvious in terms of cessation of menses;
about feeling the movement of the baby inside your womb, depends on your abdomen, the fats and your sensitivity; around this time, you should actually start feeling some movements in your lower abdomen.
do you feel the abdomen increase in girth or the uterus size increasing; you will from around 18-20 weeks.
Here is some info cut paste from a website, that you may wish to see directly as well:
The middle 12 weeks of pregnancy (from 12 to 28 weeks), is also known as the '2nd trimester'. This is the time a woman's belly begins to 'show' and it is often the phase of pregnancy that many women feel physically better, healthier and stronger within themselves (compared with the earlier weeks of pregnancy). As the weeks go on, most women begin to feel a sense of relief as their tiredness and/or morning sickness starts to settle down. Although around 15% of women will continue to feel nauseous or vomit up until, or perhaps even beyond, 20 weeks of the pregnancy. You can read more in nausea or vomiting in late pregnancy.
You may notice your appetite returning and that certain food cravings start coming into their own (or change in preference to something else). Looking after yourself, eating healthy meals and being aware of good nutrition still remains important for both you and your baby. As you start to feel more energised, others may comment on how you are 'glowing', with your skin, eyes and hair shining with good health. Many women will often resume (or begin) some physical activity at this time, to support their changing body as well as help them physically prepare for the labour and birth.
Pregnant women usually feel warmer and sweat more than others who are not pregnant. This is due to an increase in the blood flow through the body as well as the pregnancy hormone progesterone making the tiny blood vessels in the skin (or 'capillaries') relax and dilate, becoming fuller and closer to the surface (often referred to as vasodilation). Vasodilation and increased metabolism slightly increases your body temperature. This often means you end up sleeping with only a sheet covering you, while your partner lies under blankets or a doona in the winter! You can read more in skin, hair nails during pregnancy.
The 2nd trimester is also the time you will first feel your baby move. The medical term for this is 'quickening'. At first the movements may be difficult to distinguish - "Is that my baby moving or just wind?" but as those faint, fluttering sensations (like butterflies in your belly) develop into stronger and more definite kicks, it becomes obvious that it could be nothing else but your little one wriggling around! In the weeks that follow, the thrill, excitement and wonder of this experience start to be shared with your partner (if you have one) and others, as your baby grows bigger. Fathers feeling their baby move will finally have a tangible sensation that connects them with their unborn child. You can read more in baby kicking.
As the 'magic 12 weeks' passes, many expectant parents will start to feel more relaxed, especially if they had concerns surrounding miscarriage and for a few women this will now feel like the 'right' time to let family and friends know about their pregnancy (if this hasn't already been done).

I was only 120 lbs before pregnancy and I had only gained about 7 by month 5. I really started gaining at month 7. I now at 33 weeks only weight 148. I eat helathy and don't overeat. The doc says i'm doing wonderful. The baby doesn't really start gaining her fat until around 7 months and will continue till birth. It sounds normal to me. I wouldn't worry unless your doc says something about it. He must feel like the baby is moving along wonderfully!

18-20 weeks is the usual time that women feel it if it is their first pregnancy.
with my first, I felt my baby kick the first time when I was just over 16 weeks pregnant. It was a very quiet moment and I was sitting still and all of the sudden I felt this little twinge in my tummy.. almost like a mini cartwheel. I wasn't sure at first if that was what it was... but soon after I felt it all of the time and I knew that that was indeed what it was that I felt that day.
Congrats on your pregnancy and have tons of fun. they grow too fast. take lotsa pictures!!

You may start to feel the baby move this month. Its like a flutter. Most likely right after you go to bed or when you are relaxing on the sofa. Try not to get to excited when you feel it. Your excitement will make the baby stop moving. Your baby is most likely sleeping during the day and then wakes up when you start to relax. This is way you will feel it more at night.

The first time I was pregnant I felt my baby around 14 weeks, but it was just little feelings like gas bubbles. I felt him kick around 18 weeks. Sometimes it takes a little longer the first time you are pregnant. The second time I felt him around 16 weeks.

Every one is different and so is every pregnancy but I also felt mine about 5 - 6 months along. You should be able to feel your baby pretty soon. Alot of it depends on your body weight, size, etc. Congrats

U should be feeling your baby move at least just a little, but at 6 months expect for him/her to be moving more. Especially even more at 7 months it won't stop moving.
Congrats!!!!!

I'm 28weeks pregnant with my 2nd daughter and I felt her move from 12weeks. If you are worried then contact your midwife she will be able to listen to your baby's heart beat and arrange a scan if necessary.
Good luck xx
