Anyone is welcome to pray for me! I welcome all prayers with thanksgiving and gratitude! I thank the Lord for those who make it a ministry to pray for others! What an unselfish act of love to ask the Lord to help someone else! You would be shocked how it made such a difference in my life when others were praying for me! To all who pray...thank you! God bless your dear souls!

Generally it neither bothers me nor is it something I particularly like people doing for me. I don't believe in god and I believe that prayer is pointless and that the only thing it's good for is to make people feel like they're doing something good, even though they're not really achieving anything else with it. I guess it's nice comfort for some, but it doesn't do anything for me and people praying for me has never changed a thing.

I'd prefer if people took action in order to help others rather than just pray. If they pray AND take action, that's fine. If they pray and don't do anything else, I feel like they didn't do anything at all.

The only times it annoys me that people pray for me is when they are praying for something to be fixed that isn't broken and being disrespectful, such as when they tell me they will pray that I'll find god. I wish they could stop disrespecting my beliefs like that. If they want to pray about something like that they can, but they should keep it to themselves.

If I ask or if the situation is appropriate - I don't mind at all. But if they pick me out of a crowd, knowing nothing about me, and make the assumption that I need prayers because of how I'm dressed or whatnot (I have had this happen), then yes, that bothers me. Or when people say they'll pray for me after they discover my religion. Right there they are making the assumption that I need help, or that there's something wrong with me, and I find that somewhat offensive.

I believe we all need to pray for each other. No it doesn't bother me that others pray for me because we are all brothers and sisters, all God's children, and we should always pray for each other.

I love it when people pray for me. In fact I asked for prayer on here earlier tonight, and most people have been great, and I am truly blessed by the response.

I've had Christians, Jews, Muslims, and Wiccans offer to pray for my grandchild, who is very ill. I considered it a great honor and thanked them as warmly as I could, knowing that prayer is very sacred and powerful to them.

I've also had religious people say, "I'm going to pray for you," in such a way that it's obvious that they really mean, "You need someone to teach you the RIGHT way to live--MY way." As their intent was obviously disrespectful, I treated it as such and responded with an icy "If it will make you feel better."

It's a blessing to know that I'm cared about, because of others praying for me.

I certainly do need their loving concern for me, that's for sure.

It's a double blessing, as long as those who pray for me understand that> we need to be careful about what we pray, because we just might get it, and when we get it, we might realize that we don't really want it.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

The words> be careful for nothing.....if we're to be careful about "nothing", then we should definitly be careful concerning important matters.

In other words> we are to make our every request known to God, but we are also to be careful about asking Him to actually> "do everything" that we want Him to do, because not everything that we want is good or best for us.

    God bless you. Amen.

It depends what they are praying for. I don't like it when someone finds out I'm Wiccan and says I'll pray to Jesus that you are saved because that's ignorant and they are just doing it to get the last word.

if they find out I'm sick or something and offer their prayers, I am thankful.

If they're actually sincere and praying to God then it is an honor for someone to pray for me.
