What is best way to rip my tunes from my collection of vinyl albums into mp3 files?
I have many old vinyl albums that I don't play anymore, but I would like to convert many of the tunes on those old albums so I can have them to play on my computer or iPod.

To be honest, I haven't tried this yet with albums but I have looked into it and plan to start soon, probably tomorrow or later this weekend. The software I plan on using is freeware called Audacity and can export as mp3 files but you'll need to get the lame_enc.dll file which is also free and you can find links to it on the audacity site or just do a search for it. You'll also need a turntable and amp which I assume you already have, and a cable to connect the amp output to the input on your sound card. I have done this process before, converting cassettes to mp3's and had good results so I expect converting albums wont be much different.
Good luck to you!
