what would cause sharp pains mid stomach area left side?

    Put some fiber in your diet. Put ground flax seed in your yogurt or cereal. Clean out those tubes.

    Are the pains so bad they make you sweat and feel sick ?

    Could be grumbling appendix. That can start on the left side then move across to the right......Go see your doctor and good luck.

    it could either be a pulled muscle, or simply gas! have a cup of tea, if its gas then it should go away after your cup of tea.
