I believe his only concern is to make himself as wealthy as possible as well as his friends, while he's in office.

Don't believe the hype....the upper middle and middle/middle class are flourishing more than ever. Today, we have more people that own their own homes, have good paying jobs and are well educated. People's attituteds have changed regarding spending and we are over extending ourselves buying crap we don't really need.....
What is happening though is that the lower middle class or what used to be working class, which could elevate itself through hard work, saving etc...is incapable of doing that and participating in the economy. Some of that has to do with the change in the economy. We have shifted from a manufacturing driven economy in this country to the new global economy. Problem is that unless you have at the very least a college education, you cannot participate in this new economy. This in effect cuts out the lower middle/.working class group who typically have little/no higher edducation due to financial circumstances. So cities that were manufacturing driven eg Cleveland, are taking time to make the transition.....all along the coast from east to west, these areas are doing very well.
As for the cost of living raising...blame it on
speculation...everyone wants a get rich quick scheme. No one is saving anymore. In the process, we drive up our housing costs because we specualte on real estate as we did in (late 90's early '00s) on stocks and remember what happened then?

I'm not even middle class, everything I have read about middle class and the yearly wages that put them in this range I don't even make that.I am closer to poverty from what I have read.My family includes my husband, me and my three children. My husband works and I stay home with my three children and do odd jobs here and there for family and friends. Our yearly income is around 15,000 a year.We seem to make it fine.We do struggle but we budget every Penney and make it work.We are sure not to choose a life style that is beyond our means.I know several families that are worse off than mine.I am thankful for what we have and are happy for the small things like being able to make the house payment, buying food, etc. The poor is not the middle class.

Neither Bush nor Clinton saw this. An elderly man years ago in the 60's told me that I would see College Graduates digging ditches. Government is so interested in World Trade that they can't see their people.

Rich people are just out of touch with the way that poorer people have to live. Bush no clue as to how hard life is for some of us or how his administration creating an economy that is going to make paupers of us all.

There is no real middle class anymore, just upper lower class and lower upper class & high class. A scary thing to read is what percent of the population owns the biggest percent of the money.

Judging by your atrocious grammar, I'd say you aren't really educated enough to know politics? I am the middle class at 100,000/year and my husband and I are living to the fullest in Tampa, FL. Middle class is still middle class, you my friend, are an all-together different story. The difference is cost-of-living rises and therefore, so does your salary. I love how all of you people love to criticize the government for something that is clearly a tremendous void in education. If you are uneducated, you will, more often than not, end up poor. These people you are referring to are not middle class according to 21st century standards. They are the people depending upon the government for their cheese. Just a little FYI, the rich are the one's paying the most taxes and feeding your starving children.
ps - Brady, you rock my socks.

Without any personal opinion; government often favours the rich because they are supposed to assist the economy. It doesn't make sense, however, that they make the middle class people work harder

How can you expect someone thats never had to be in the dregs of the middle class to understand the middle class issues? He's rich. Law makers are rich. Thats all they care about.

first of all in my opinion there is no longer a middle class.you are either rich or you are poor.you can't ask bush to change when he has never been at what you call middle class.the only way this will change is when someone for the people is elected.don't forget to vote!!!
