Time from conception or LMP?

My LMP was Nov13th and everything is saying that conception was on the 27th of Nov. Ok....so according to everyone I am a little over 4wks pregnant. I don't get how that can be. Wouldn't I only be a little over 2 weeks?

You're right. The first 2 weeks of your pregnancy are actually before you got pregnant. If you are 4 weeks pregnant, the embryo is 2 weeks old.

The baby is always 2 weeks younger than the pregnancy.

They date a pregnancy starting from your lmp...so technically you are only 2 weeks...but they call it 4. That's why a pregnancy can go to 42 weeks.

The medics take it from your last period as they don't know for sure when conception actually happened. Also they like to use it for dates. It's all a bit bizarre; so your pregnancy is actually nine and a half months. You'll get used to it, and good luck!

theory date is only an estimate. there is truly no fool-evidence way of understanding precisely even as the sperm met the egg. no matter if you've been to have sex in elementary words one time that month, sperm can stay interior a woman's body for as a lot as a week.
