  • Spraying in cabins on flights to Australia?

    Am going to Perth shortly with my husband and 3 young kids, 9, 5 and just 1. I have heard numerous stories about them spraying whilst you are in the cabin, presumably to kill off any hitchhiking bugs/insects. I would like to know if anyone knows;

    1; Do they spray whilst you're on board around you?

    2; What exactly is the spray; pesticide?

    3; Do they spray your main luggage on return from Oz to kill off possible bugs/insects?

    4; Has anyone had any problems with the spraying business, particularly affecting their kids?

    Thanks!

  • To those who have had more than two children...?

    Am due with number three in 2 weeks. I do realise every pregnancy and woman is different, but am curious to know two things; Was the third labour faster, if so what was it like? Secondly, did your third arrive earlier than predicted? Am feeling like my body won't take another 2 weeks this time and the bearing down pressure is getting heavy! Comments please (nice ones!!)

  • How many people would be prepared to ......?

    Boycott Sainsbury's?! Following on from my previous posting, it seems that they are pinching a lot of people's great recipe ideas, probably to use in their advertising. I'm sure they pay people to come up with recipes/suggestions; in which case why are they getting yahoo answerers ones for free? I think it's underhand and not on. Anyone who agrees that they will boycott their supermarkets until they stop? I will now climb down off my soapbox...

  • Nonsensical censoring?

    Why do the peeps at Yahoo Answers insist on putting usually innocent answers hidden, stating that they are' below your threshold'? What exactly ARE they using as trigger words; I just saw one being hidden that said simply 'the i pod'. What's going on?.......

  • Help on persistent calls to mobile phone!?

    My husband has been receiving tons of anonymous calls on his mobile. Sometimes it'll ring a couple of times then stop. Others he will answer to hear a woman with a foreign accent saying 'hello'; when he responds, she doesn't appear to hear. She has left a voicemail saying something like 'why are you not talking/why are you calling me', but it's quite difficult to hear. We've looked online and found the number to be an Islamabad mobile; we have no connection at all to this place. Has anyone got any advice/experience on this, as the calls go on throughout day and night. We've not called it back but it is starting to get disturbing, in more ways than one! HELP!!!

  • Help with spelling please!!?

    I want to know which is the correct spelling; window sill or window cill? This is not a test, just that I have seen it spelt in both ways, and wondered if there is a different spelling purely for carpentry terms?

    Where does the funny letter g originate; when it is on a typewriter or printed in a book the letter g often looks like a kind of sideways figure of 8 . Why is it printed this way and where does it stem from?
