Is anyone going to pay $25.00 to see the movie Dreamgirls during the 10 day special engagement?
Starting on 12/15/06 only 3 theaters nationwide ( in Hollywood, CA...San Francisco, Ca...and New York City) will be hosting a special 10 day Premiere Engagement of this movie. It will open everywhere else on Christmas. Do you think this movie will be worth seeing for $25.00? Or is it just a bunch of hype? Why do you think they're charging $25.00 per ticket? Isn't that too much to pay to see a movie?

The worse thing about this whole shenanigan is that if it sells out, then MORE movies will be released this way. The studios will now KNOW they can get 25 bucks and will most definantly try it again with another movie. Now, if they offer something extra at these so-called 'premieres' that might make it more tolerable. Such as a cd of the soundtrack (autographed by cast) or a limited edition t-shirt from the movie, etc... Hopefully, for our future pocket books though, they won't sell out at 25 bucks!

No particular order. it is a catalogue regularly from this decade, yet there are some that need to be on right here that i visit leave on. The harm Locker, there'll be Blood, Blood Diamond, Lord of the rings Trilogy, The Fighter, city, The Departed, Saving deepest Ryan, Batman starts and the darkish Knight, Step Brothers, Iron guy a million and a couple of, and many more desirable

$25.00 for any movie is absolutely ridiculous! I don't even like paying $7.50 for a ticket just to see a movie plus the expense of the food. You're better off waiting for the movie to come out on DVD, rent it, order you some take-out food and enjoy yourself.

Of course, not! It's merely a hype. No movie is worth $25.00 to view at a movie theatre. It's only worth it if its on DVD if only then.

If I were in any of those cities I would pay $25 to see it just for the hype!

Uh...NO! Are you kidding me? IF I see this film, it'll be when it shows up on HBO in about 8 months.
They are charging $25 per ticket because there are people out there who will pay that outrageous sum. Hey, if it makes them happy, go for it.
I have better things to do with my limited funds.
Merry Christmas.

nope ill never pay that much just to see a movie. why waste money when you could see it at a standard price when it opens nationwide. i think its just a bunch of hype. its really not that serious.

Too much to see a movie. Especially that one.
