What is the deal with the Disclosure Project?

The press conference ran in May of 2001 - why is it still not MAJOR news? Did this really happen? Was the press conference real?

Here is a link to their homepage. I am just confused as to why it is not MAJOR news. I can understand 9/11 overshadowing it, but wouldnt it still be MAJOR news?!?!?!

    The event did take place, and they really do have all the people they say they do...but then 9/11 drew all the world's attention, and a few disclosure project people went missing, mysteriously, and the group got quiet for some reason, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
