recently i noticed a lump in my groin area and its been bothering me.?
i'm only asking someone's opinion to ease my fear a bit, because i will be seeing a doctor tommorow. i'm just scared because cancerous ailments run in my family. i have two small children and they are my life..
to add some details i have had some cyst-like bumps, and it has looked like acne. it had puss and some blood and then it went away like a pimple. then, my doctor had said it was probably an ingrown hair.

I'm a nurse. Make sure you keep the appointment. It is hard to assume something without seeing it for myself. However it could be from a cyst (noncancerous only a growth in which is ok) to an infected hair bump. Also it could be only puss in the bump in which has to be drained by a doctor. I hope this helps you. Try not to worry, after all you could be just worrying for nothing. Wait until you find out then decide what you need to do from there. I'm a Christian and I'll pray for you today.

I had this problem once and mine was a swollen gland b/c I had some kind of infection, not an infection that was with the female parts or anything like that it and that is what really through me off and I couldn't believe that first off we even have glands down there and second off that an infection for what ever kind it was at the time (can't remember now) could effect that area.
It also could be a pulled muscle or a hurnia, maybe you lifted something that was too heavy for you that you now don't even remember. Don't be worried it is probably something minor! You're doing the right thing by seeing the Dr. and I am sure it is minor. Good Luck!

You are seeing a doctor tomorrow. Ask him to run ALL, the tests for cancer. It's better to be safe than sorry. Don't take No for an answer. Ask for copies of the results from the tests, and then seek a second opinion just to be safe. AND DO YOUR FOLLOW UP doctor visits.

you do have lymph nodes in the groin area. is it sore like a swollen gland? if so, this means u have an infection somewhere in the body. could also possibly be a cyst. good that you are seeing a dr, hopefully everything will be fine.

where is it? sometimes people get something called a polionidal cyst in that area. It isnt harmful but does have to be either drained and packed - or removed.

Sounds like an ingrown hair. I get them too. I usually go to my OB/GYN to get them checked out anyway. Just to be safe.
