I was at home. My husband and me and our 4 children were all piled on my daughters bed watching it on her 19" black and white Television
I feel It is was the most spectacular thing that happened in my life time was when man walked on the moon. There is no way to explain what it was like to watch when the Space craft Apollo 11 landed on the moon and to see Neil Armstrong walking on the moon when he made the statement, “One small step for man. One giant leap for mankind.” Nothing can compare.

WOW! Just a little kid. My neighbors across the street were the only people on the whole street who could afford a color tv. God bless them; they invited every kid on the street (there must have been 30+ of us) into their home to watch it on color tv! And gave us snacks besides! Try to explain to a kid now how there wasn't color tv or remotes and they'll look at you like you have 2 heads or something. We felt so lucky to see it, and couldn't wait to go to school the next morning and brag about how we got to watch it in color!

In front of the TV in my parent's home, watching it live.
It was well worth it staying up way past my bed time; I could not have slept anyway. Next day, my dad bought several copies of the newspaper so all of us kids could have a copy to keep to remember we saw history in the making.
