Where can I get free stock footage of an explosion?

I'm looking for a video of a fiery explosion against a black background, preferably 640x480 or bigger. But I don't want to spend any money.

try looking up news archives for Amarillo, or Pampa, Texas...in 1987 or 88 (I think) the Celenese plant there blew up...someone was flying in the area with a camera going and it was shown on the news that evening...a shock wave could be seen (just like the one that leads in a thermonuclear explosion)...it was quite a tragedy, but the photography is rare...also look up for that DuPont plant in India that went up around the same time.

then there's the archives of the U.S.Government and Fox News (and c.b.s. , n.b.c. and a.b.c.) showing footage of an actual thermonuclear blast.

you may have to photoshop in the black background

Contact the RUC museum or www.utv.com they have lots of footage of explosions. I was blown up by a bomb explosion but it was not caught on camera. Just the aftermath.

Source(s): Good luck and please use it wisely.
