How to transfer data?

Does anyone know how to transfer data among two local computers through a phoneline?(not through internet)Please tell me how to do it.

    Get a cross LAN cable...

    Configure your my computers properties to work under same work group/domain

    also configure static IP lets one 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2 for 2nd.

    Then from one computer share the folder...2nd computer map the network drive from window explorer

    wow through a phone line? sounds like 1994. kidding aside, i remember doing this in the 90's with a friend. but the programs we were using are now defunct. sounds like you need a terminal program. try searching for something with "terminal"
