Was it Bush at the Patriot Act or Hitler at the Gestapo who said...........?

"An evil exists that threatons every man, woman, and child of this great nation. We must take steps to ensure our domestic security and protect our homeland".

There are SOOOO many parallels. The "keep them scared and they're willingly give up their freedoms" is downright haunting.

I think your quote was from Hitler/Gestapo as written...

Sounds like W to me. Anytime you suspend any part of the Bill Of Rights you have a Dictator just ask the Residents of The United States from 1861-1865

I know I've heard Bush say it... If Hitler said it too, well then so be it... How come pointing that out makes liberal's evil????? You conservatives are so scared you jump at the sight of your own shadow it seems, and you attack your own countrymen. You have the right to be scared, I will not impeed on your civil liberties and tell you how you should feel. But, don't impeed on my civil liberties either and say I'm less than a citizen because I don't share the same views. I honestly could hear both figures saying that same quote, and if that's a problem for you take it out on them, not me.... i'm not the one who said it first...

Sounds like both. Remember. A politician is basically a used car salesman with a permit to carry.

Is there a difference? It's rhetoric designed to fire up the masses.
