heat up the milk & butter til butter has melted then use a hand held mixer to beat the lumps out. add milk mixture a lil at a time until you have the consistency that you want. i use evaporated milk instead of regular milk for a creamier & more rich flavor!!!!

you're no longer doing something incorrect. you ought to purchase on the spot mashed potatoes with the lumps already in there to mimic hand-crafted mashed potatoes. some fancy places call them u . s . kind mashed potatoes. I easily have used an electric powered mixer whilst i prefer authentic creamy ones yet be careful because of the fact over mixing can cause them to gummy. some persons use a device referred to as a ricer. which will certainly get the lumps out.

Buy a potato RIcer; it's an old-fashioned gadget that squeezes the stuff through and out small holes.....no lumps!

Turn your mixer on the highest speed & beat them like you were making a cake. The longer you do this the smoother they get.
