I would say as long as it was enough to pay the utilities and I had some money for a bit of fun..... 50,000 would seem like a fortune if my home was paid for and my kids were grown!

if ur heart feel that u have enough money then u will be happy.
other wise a billionaire will say he does not have sufficient money.

It depends which part of the world you are. Different countries of the the seven continents have different lifestyle, so wherever you are, you will base your need according to your country's standard.
