It soundslike a faily old computer. It will do one of two things: a) it will not work at all ( most likely or b) it will work but recognize and use only its' maximum.
However, something is wrong ! It has 2 slots with a max of 128 megs each which totals 256 megs ( barely enough to run any windows ) but the motherboard maximum you have stated as 512 megs. It doesn't add up ? Could it be that eack slot is designed to hold 256 ?
Either way it won't hurt the hardware to try adding the memory you have and see what happens. Be sure to ground yourself so you don't short out the memory or motherboard. Te worst that can happen is that your machine won't boot.
It sounds like a good machine to run Linux on rather than Windows!

I don't see a Millennia 2100 Series other than Millennia RS2100.
MicronPC (now MPC) Millennia RS2100 Series
Manufacturer MicronPC (now MPC)
Model Millennia RS2100 Series
Maximum Memory 512MB
Standard Memory 64MB removable
Number of Slots 2 (2 banks of 1)
You can use 256MB in each slot.

You might be able to find SIMM/DIMM chips that fit the slots, but the max memory is what the processor in your system is capable of addressing.
You could put chrome side pipes on a Ford Pinto, but you'd still have a Ford Pinto.

the worst that will happen is the computer will not be able to read the RAM. however, if it has 2 slots and it can handle a maximum of 512Mb then it should be able to cope with 2x256Mb sticks. and with the main board being made by lite-on I would not expect too much from it.

if you put more then what it said it can hold 2 thing might happen.
1.wont work at all.
2.you wont be able to use all the memory that u put in.ex: you put 1gb and you you only show 512mb. if the motherboard can only use 512mb then thats all you can use.
