Using Monistat 7 and sex?

Maybe it was a mistake but I had sex when I was using the Monistat 7 cream and when I came and this icky egg white looking stuff came out, is it supposed to look like that. My boyfriend later told me he felt a tickling feeling could it be the cream of could I have given him the yeast infection.

I know it was a mistake to take such actions. What effects does the Monistat have on Men.

Update:

If I want to get treatment for my partner and I ONLY have insurance and he doesn't is there any way that I can get the prescription for him through me. Don't they give prescription for you partner as well if a Dr. knows ur partner is infected as well?

LOL LOL LOL and not at you hon- at these stupid answers "adults" are giving. Most likely HE gave YOU the yeast infection. Men carry yeast also and do not know it half the time. You most likely you did NOT give him a yeast infection, but *could have*. Yeast can become systemic in your whole body affecting your bowels as well. Shows how much the "nurses" who are answering know....

Yes, you can pass these back and forth. If one partner is treating, both should always treat. It is playing the waiting game while treating, but you should not have intercourse, not even with a condom. You can tear any vaginal tissues that are irritated inside and get a further infection (staph, strep b etc). Don't listen to these people telling you that it is nasty etc. They are being juvenile buffoons. They need to grow up and be women or men. TRUE women support each other and act like sisters, babies (kids) tear each other apart. You are adult enough to admit mistake so move on and get help. No your insurance will not cover him- your co pay is for you.

Yes, you need to wait until your yeast infection is gone before having sex. The Monistat won't hurt your bf, but he can get the yeast infection from you. The "icky egg white" stuff is the Monistat. And having sex while using it is just not going to help you either. Just wait until the infection is over. And you have to use all the Monistat, too. Just because you feel better, no discharge or itch doesn't mean you are no longer infected. You have to finish all the medication.

First of all, you need to read the package insert that came with the monistat, that is the most common mistake most people make when they start using any type of medication! Chances are, that your boyfriend may have initially given you the yeast infection in the first place. On men unfortunately, most of the yeast infestations accumulates not only on the outer skin area where it is semi-vulnerable, but also on the pubic hairs. Its fairly difficult for guys to get a yeast infection due to the fact their reproductive organs are external and much easier keep clean. Poor hygiene allows the yeast to grow in colonies along the shafts of the hair and follicles. The gooey egg white stuff was probably a combination of the monistat and bodily secretions. You and especially your partner, should consult your doctors on any further issues for as long as one of you has the infection and has not followed up with the treatment, will continue to pass this yeast infection back and forth to one another. The next time you plan to engage in sex with him, check him out! Tell tall symptoms would be unusual odor, thick stringy accumulations on the pubic hairs, and possible irritation to the Urethral meatus (The Pee hole), red irritated skin, possibly as red patches. Unfortuantely, he may also have another partner where he could have caught the yeast colonies.

it probably was the monistat that made him tingle because of the numbing feeling to take the itch away and bacteria away. umm, you can give him the infection and probaly did because if you have sex with infection it goes to the other he should keep checking and see. also if yours clears up and you have sex again it will come back to you, you both need treated now or it will be an ongoing cycle. the white stuff was probably the medicine mixed in with it. just get treated BOTH OF YOU or it wont go away.

If he had any kind of an infection coming on, chances are, your Monistat helped cure it.

It more than likely was the monostat that gave him the tingling feeling. There is the possibility that you gave him a yeast infection but not that probable. Guys don't get yeast infections as easily as women. And yes that discharge and creamy stuff is normal when you have sex with that stuff in you.
