They say no one controls the internet?

If that is the case, what if all the companies that run servers and run providers were taken away where would that leave the internet?

    The meaning behind that sentence is that no one *specific* has

    control. Of course if *everyone* pulls the plug there's nothing

    to connect to. Doesn't invalidate the statement imo.

    Besides that. It would leave the internet where it was before.

    In universities, military and research facilities.

  • Put it this way. Every computer that is connected to the internet is part of the internet coz any computer can be used as a hosting server. To switch off the internet, u will need to switch off all the computers which are connected to the internet.
