Whirlpool Duet washer overfills??!!?

Water spills over from the drain hose from my whirlpool duet washing machine? Anyone else have this problem? How can this be fixed? Tried liquid drain plumber and no luck. It only spills over when the drain cycle starts.

Update:

Where is it on the roof and how would i install another?

The drain cleaner doesn't work because the drain is only partially blocked and the liquid doesn't have time to work, you could try Professional Strength Liquid Plumber, pour the entire bottle in and leave it overnight, but usually washer drains have to be snaked, if you call someone get the estimate in advance and ask about a guaranty.

check the owners manual. does it specify how high the drain pipe must be? is your drain pipe high enough? if it is with in spec's, run a plumbers snake up and down the drain pipe, but go way down it, not just behind the machine. good luck, and happy new year!

Make sure your drain vent is not plugged. usually runs to the roof, unless there is one in the wall. You may have to install an extra vent in the drain line near the washer drain.

There is a phone number on the unit and a serial # and a Model #. Call phone # and tell them problem. If Serial or Model # is missing, Nobody can help. They will be able to send you right replacement parts.
