Can I delay my period despite not being on the Pill?
Hi everyone! I am getting married next summer. After booking the hall and everything I found out that I should be getting my period 3 days before the wedding date. I don't want to go on the pill, but I want to delay my period a week after the wedding or get it earlier so that I wouldn't have it on my wedding night and -hopefully- the first week of my marriage. I am 19 years old and a virgin.
Expert answers only please and thanks in advance.

To be honest with you, the only way that I am certain of is to get on the pill for that month. Reason is, I needed to delay my cycle as well for a couple of reasons and I took the pill and it didn't come. You don't have to continue taking the pill after your wedding but it would be best if you start taking them at least one month prior to your wedding and continue taking the pills (not the sugar pill), the week that you will be due to start. If you think there are alternative methods, then you may want to discuss this with your family doctor or gynecologist. Good luck with everything and congratulations on your engagement!

I think the real issue at hand here is getting married at 19... and a virgin! I'm sorry, but in my book, that is a recipe for disaster.
But I digress... are your periods really that regular? Also, with the wedding and everything, you might be under a lot of stress and that could possibly delay your ovulation and in turn, your period. But to be absolutely sure... I'd probably suggest taking the pill for a month just to be safe. It can't hurt and it's your big day and all. You don't want to mess it up now, even if it might be a mess later.

there is no way for you to do that. the only way you can is if you get on the pill and take the pill called seasonal(you only have 4 periods a year on this). besides you can always get off the pill later. you can always consider a low dose pill like loestrin or generic brand microgestrin. good luck whatever you decide to do.

There is no way to do this without going on the pill. You can discuss options with your doc though and see what options he can offer you.
