how come if you say something that is true, if it's about a minority, you are considered racist?

Have we gone so far that truth can not be spoken if it about another race?

Update:

example? - look at Lolita's answer

she thinks saying blacks are on welfare is racist because more whites are on it although I don't know where she gets her info.

Update 2:

truth is not an opinion. it's either true or it isn't no matter who you are.

Even this question and my answer will get us in trouble. Just don't say anything if you're White unless you want to get a "boot to the head". Let your vote do your talking.

Alex is basically right. What it comes down to is that liberals thrive on problems and misery. The more, the merrier. They like it that way, because they then can become "activists" and feel better about themselves.

Of course this only works if the problems never go away. Addressing these issues truthfully and in a straightforward manner would cramp their style so they need to make sure that no one can ever talk about social problems without discrediting themselves.

That's where the name-calling comes in.

well it depends on what is considered to be truth. A lot of what is said about minorities are stereotypes. For example- black people are poor and don't have jobs. That is just what is seen on tv but in reality there are more white people of welfare then black people. Everyone's "truth" differs. If you really think about it when it comes to race and culture a lof of it is based on OPINIONS.

In my opinion, anymore if you say the word black wrong you are considered racist, even if you aren't speaking of black people. Anymore, people just don't know how to take things or personal opinions. And it also don't seem to matter how many friends of that race you have, they still point fingers at you and call you racist. Just ignore their coments, and make them eat the fingers they point when they see you hanging with your friends of another race.

truth is just that...truth! the intent should be the concern. if you say something that is malicious, then have a good dental plan, regardless of what race you are speaking of. also delivery, don't stand in front of a big Irishman and try to convince him that because he's Irish he NEEDS to go to AA meetings!

Basically, it depends on which minority you are talking about before it is considered to be a racist remark. Think about that, and I think you will agree that it is true.
