Check the Bios first to see if its enable. Next go into Device manager, scroll down to Network Adapter and click on the Plus sign, rightclick and select properties on the adapter and check to see if it's enable. The built-in ethernet port (if you have it) or the adapter may gone bad. I've seen it happened before on a PC with built-in ethernet port.

Go to control panel click on network connections it should be there and say if it disabled, Now go to control panel click on system, now click on hardware, now click on device manager look for network adapter click to see if listed, if not or it has a red or orange flag then it doesn't have the correct driver

Is it attached to your motherboard? If it is, there's a high chance you can toggle it in your system BIOS. This will be F1, F2, Del, or Esc key when booting up -- your computer will display which one it is. Make sure the BIOS is configured to enable the onboard LAN or Ethernet.

If it's a seperate card not on the motherboard, it may be installed improperly. You can try removing the card and resecuring it in the slot.

Go to the manufacturer's website and download the latest drivers.
