How to get lint off black North Face Fleece Jacket?

I have a black North Face Fleece jacket that I cannot get the lint off of, I have tried washing it the way it tells you to and using a lint brush but I can't get it to look the way I got it. The lint is really stuck on it (mainly on the inside of the jacket where I had sweaters that were shedding). Any ideas on how to get it off quick and easily?

Thanks!

What I've tried and have worked are two different methods depending on the severity of the lint problem.

    1. Wash the jacket in cold water with vinegar (white vinegar). You can add a lint free cloth to the wash to "grab" the lint coming off the jacket.

    2. This second method seems to work better for me but it does take some time. Get a lint free cloth, wet it with warm water and white vinegar, wring it out good, the pass the cloth over the jacket as if you were brushing it (fold the cloth to the size of your hand, hold it firmly and use some 'elbow grease'.) If the lint is embedded really good, you will have to do this several times until all the lint is gone. Be careful to frequently rinse off the cloth and re-wet it with the warm water and white vinegar to you don't re-plant the lint in another area of the jacket.

Don't worry about the vinegar smell, it goes away easily. You can either puy the jacket in the dryer with a dryer sheet, or you can wash it (alone) using the short cycle with warm water and baking soda, (don't need to use detergent unless your jacket is dirty anyway), once done it will come out smelling fresh and clean with no vinegar tace at all.

I've been able to 'save' several dark colored jackets (black, blue, red) that were filled with lint and cat hair! As I said, you have to rub the jacket as if you were brushing it, and try not to go over the same area more than twice before you rinse the cloth again.

Good Luck! Hope your jacket looks new again!

Source(s): My grandmother who hand washed all her clothes, and found the cloth method to get rid of all lint that plagued her clothes, then 'secret' passed on to my mother who tried the vinegar in the wash with great results for mildly linted clothing.

Depends on the lint - and how much it has woven itself into the fabric -- but try wide tape, wrapped around your hand with the sticky side out like a big lint roller (not brush).

If the lint is loose, not woven into the fabric, dampen your hands and wipe them against the inside of the fabric. Loose hair & lint will stick to your damp hands, then you can just rinse the stuff off in the sink.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7XL

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

This might sound crazy, but try a piece of tape, I've tried it before, it works.

There is a device out there that is called a sweater shaver.

What it does is shaves the "pills" (or little balls) off of clothing.

They are inexpensive and usually cost around 10-12 dollars.

To be honest, I don't think so

Sorry, but it is impossible to remove lint from a North Face Fleece jacket. Next time try buying a South Face Fleece jacket because it is much easier to remove the lint from them. That's what you get for buying cheap crap from Walmart. Haha!
