Has KFC amended its alleged cruelty to animals?
Evidently, the Ppl for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has a video in which it shows KFC factory workers throwing chickens against walls, and also stomping on them. It's horrifying. KFC released a generic msg, saying that they were committed to the fair treatment of animals, but I would like to know if the situation is resolved.. because for the past 3 years, I've not eaten at KFC because of it.
I'm not a tree-hugger type, and I'm by no means a Vegetarian. I eat Meat, and proud of it.. but the thing is-- I don't want to support a company that is treating animals with no decency. Although PETA is a vegetarian org, it's documentation on KFC is solely about its "ALLEGED" cruelty to animals. PETA highlights meat-producing companies like MCDONALDS and Albertsons & Whole Foods who don't abuse animals to produce a profit.
Get your facts straight before you try to patronize me, "Hun".
Also... In Jewish heritage, the animal is killed in the most humane way, that produces the least amount of harm to the animal. If I am going to eat meat, just like if I'm going to eat bread, I don't want it to be tossed on the floor and threaded underneath someone's foot. But furthermore, with living creatures-- even if they will be sacrificed for our stomachs, they shouldn't to be tortured. What kind of monsters does that make us if they are?

I'm not sure, but I definitely understand where you are coming from. Animals do not have to be tortured before they are slaughtered and eaten.

Hun they are going to say that anyone who eats meat is unethical. If you think that Church's is any better in PETA's eyes or the vegan's eyes you're nuts. I could round up some Pizza Hut uniforms and allege the same thing of them. But if you think you're helping the poutlry population by boycotting KFC... well, it is a free country as they say. And God bless you for standing by your convictions none-the-less. good day

You can now return to KFC and eat all the chicken you want. They have instituted a new "Kindness For Chickens (KFC) policy. All chickens are raised on beachfront ranches. NO chicken is killed for their meat. Chickens are "harvested" only for their best attribute. For instance some chickens undergo surgery to remove their legs. Others "donate" a breast or wing. The chickens are then nursed back to health and returned to the beachfront ranch where they live long happy lives having their every need met. Only when they die (of natural causes) are they harvested for their livers and gizzards. Then the remains are cremated and their ashes are spread at sea in a beautiful "chicken of the sea" ceremony. When I go to KFC I weep while I eat thinking of the personal sacrifice of the double drumstick donors. When I die my will specifies that all of my worldly wealth is to go to the "Sanders Family Chicken Retirement Ranch". It is just my way of thanking our feathered friends for being so brave AND tasty.
