Selling textbooks online, but still want to make a decent profit?
My boyfriend is helping me sell my textbooks online. I have about 6 or 7 books, all bought new ( from 70-100 dollars each), that I have used this year or last. When listing them, he put them for $15 dollars each, when I never wrote in them or anything..they are in like new condition. Also, with shipping (which is like 7/8 dollars), the end "profit" to me isn't worth the time of shipping, going to the post office, dealing with emails etc.. Is that normal to get almost NOTHING back? OR should I do it myself and see what happens?

The best place to sell your textbooks is at your college. Most profs don't change their curriculum much. You won't get near what you paid, but you'll get some. Other than that, you'll get next to nothing.

You can try two different places:
1. eBay - they can list a book using the ISBN number on the back. I've sold a few textbooks that way.
2. MBSdirect - My last college used this as their main bookstore. You can sell back books that you didn't buy from them as long as they have a need. All they need is the ISBN number from the back of the book and they handle all the shipping for you.
