What do I do about my cats static electricity?

In the winter, when I pet my cat, Her fur sparks a bunch of static electricity charges. I think she hates it. Is there anything that I can do about this?

Humidifier, found at drug stores, Sears, other discount stores, Home Depot. It'll even help YOUR skin, your sleep habits, and the survival of your wood furniture (they all need humidity).

Get a humidifier for your home. The air is too dry and causing static. This will solve the problem as long as you can keep the humidity up.

For a quick fix, rub her with a dryer sheet.

A humidifier wouldn't hurt to help prevent the static.

I had the same problem, and a humidifyer is the answer.

it worls like a charm, but they tend to be somewhat of a rip-off because you have to buy a new filter quite often if you run it every day.

I'm serious-- spray it with Static Guard. I use it on my cat, hair, clothes, all the time.
