I don't like to vote on issues or people that I don't know anything about, so I don't want to fill in some of the votes like the judges section.

If I leave parts of the ballot incomplete, my vote still counts correct? Does anyone have a link to an official source that provides this information?

So I'm having a total brain fart here.

I'm doing some calculations that add temperature and does conversions. My numbers are coming out completely wrong, and I'm sure there is some factor I'm not considering, but this just has me stumped.

For example:

I'm taking 86F and adding 95F. This should equal 181F.

When I do the conversion and do the math,

86F = 30C

95F = 35C

but

181F = 83C

Why doesn't that math add up?

I'm not rich, but I have money.

There is this girl that I offended last weekend, but she still likes me.

In the summer I would take her out on my boat, but in winter every thing is more complex. Do I take her on a weekend excursion or hang out in town and be creepy?

Unfortunately the boating season has come to an end and I need to get my boat winterized. I'll probably just take it into the shop, but I was wondering what processes need to be done to winterize a boat.

Is it simply opening drain plugs, or is there more to it than that?

The world of web standards is getting closer to the point where I can code once with good XHTML and have my sites look good in most browsers.

Firefox, Opera, even IE have become very easy for me to debug layout issues. But oh-ya. There is still that god awful browser on my least favorite OS called Safari. Unfortunately, due to my extreme dislike for Apple and Steve Jobs, I no longer have access to a Mac to test my sites with Safari. Does any one know of an emulator for the PC that replicates this terrible browsers behavior?

I have a server that I want to install Vista on. I have the Vista DVD, but I forgot that the server doesn't have a DVD drive.

Can I attach the DVD drive on my laptop and install Vista from there? Does anyone know of any good links that explains this?

In the winter, when I pet my cat, Her fur sparks a bunch of static electricity charges. I think she hates it. Is there anything that I can do about this?

My ex's father is one of those people that have every model train accessory possible. I'm going to try to be a good guy this Christmas and get each of the family something nice (the mother likes to drink, so easy present (wine, vodka - that is the question). However if I buy a present for one of the family sides, I think it would only be fair to by a cheap gift for both sides. This should be around the $10 mark, no more. Any ideas?

I think the only present that I'm going to buy for Christmas is a laptop for my mom. She doesn't need much, just a good solid stable system that will last her a couple of years.

I have found a couple of deals that will suit that need pretty good, but I would love to hear if someone has any other deals they know about.

No Macs please. Not that I mind Apple (other than iTunes and QuickTime), but I'm a Windows programmer, and I need to be able to hold her hand when she needs help.

I have a couple of AVI demo movies, but when I try to do a screen capture with print screen, the damn DRM stops it from showing up in Photoshop. Is there a better screen capture utility that I can use that will allow me to grab images from the AVI?
