Would you please join me in a Prayer and Ceremony for those who were massacred on 12-29-1890?

I have made it a personal mission to never forget this date and thank you for your understanding.

I'm not sure what you mean by a prayer and ceremony? I will honor them in remembrance today. Thank you for reminding people.

To those who would like to read about The Massacre at Wounded Knee, the link is at the bottom.

Seems like none of the answerers knew what happened on this date, and who was massacred, myself included. So, I looked it up on the Internet, and found out it was The massacre at Wounded Knee. I respect your sentiment, and I will join you in a prayer for these people. I hope that most of them have already found their way to the light, and those that haven't...I pray that they will soon find their way to the light as well.

No. Prayer is useless. However, it is good to remember past atrocities so they won't happen again.

I'm assuming you're talking about the Wounded Knee Massacre, right? That's just one of many atrocities we've done against the indians.

“why pray for them if they are dead?............is that a bible custom?...........As for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all . . . Also their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished.” (Eccl. 9:5, 6) ...................that at Adam’s creation the “man came to be a living soul.” (Gen. 2:7; 1 Cor. 15:45) before dust there was no soul............Life as a soul is far different from possessing an “immortal soul,” which is not a Biblical term. On the contrary, the prophet Ezekiel writes: “The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.” (Ezek. 18:4)...........God’s perfect mind and almighty hand will bring them back from the memorial tomb in future(john 5:28-29)

The Massacre of Wounded Knee. I do sometimes think about it----but, I did not know the date of it.

Can you give us more information on this date.? What is your prayer for them? Do you often pray for the dead? It may be more productive to pray for the living now, and still remember those fondly, and appreciatively, that have passed on.

No offense, but isn't it kind of pointless praying for some dead people? I mean, they're dead. What's there to pray for? Are you praying that they don't get massacred again or something? Because I think it's a little late for that.

I've heard about wounded knee most of my life, but your question prompted me to read about it for the first time. Very tragic story....

Sure, I'll mutter some words from the Satanic Bible later.

Sure but can you explain to us that do not know exactly what happened?
