  • Non-sarcastic question for Tri Fans: what happened since the 2011 gold cup?

I really haven't been watching Mexico play since then except when they played us. They were so on fire in the match I thought it would be years (I mean like until 2016) before we ever beat them again. What happened to the coach you had back then and what happened to the team period??

  • I've replaced all the insides of my toilet and water still runs, what else?

Is there anything else I can try before I replace the entire toilet? If I do have to replace the toilet is that something an amateur can do or will I need a plumber? Thanks in advance.

  • Which teams will England send to play in the US in response to Sunday's NFL game at Wembley?

Congratulations London, you get to see the cream of the NFL crop. The 49ers (last place in their division) and the Broncos (tied for last place in their division). The 49ers (my favorite team btw) were great once upon a time, but inept ownership has doomed them. The league knew this when they were deciding which teams to send over there, yet they chose them anyway.

So what comparable teams do you think you send to play over here? Cambridge Utd? Luton? A high school team? :P

  • US fans: Do you think Bob Bradley should go?

I don't get the sense many people realize how bad things could become for get for us. The defensive lapses that were exposed in the last qualifier against costa rica, then completely exploited by the czechs and turks in the pre-wold cup friendlies were never dealt with. This meant horrible lapses in the matches with England, Slovenia and finally Ghana. Whatever Bradley inherited from Bruce Arena has become unraveled and this points to problems qualifying for 2014. If Bradley's still around I think we can count on being beaten out by el tri for the first time in ages for the CONCACAF title, and who knows maybe not even qualifying for the next cup. It was a mistake not seriously pursuing Klinsmann to be our coach this time around, I think that idea needs to be re-visited. But if not him, we at least someone who can solve the defensive problems Bradley couldn't deal with. Look for Brazil to score early next week and keep our team on their heels the rest of the match in route to a 3-1 win (IF we manage to score at all).

Should he stay or should he go? Why/why not?

  • Click and lock flooring; how easy is it really to install?

Can non-professionals seriously be expected to doing a good job of installing it? It sounded great at first until after more research I read something implying that the floor had to be perfectly level before it could be installed. I have my doubts as to whether or not my floor is completely level.

My questions are: 1. Is it essential the floor is 100% level? 2. If so, what can I use to compensate for any unlevel spots, and how hard is that to use? 3. Which click and lock product would you recommend overall for someone completely new to this? Wood, laminate, vinyl, bamboo, cork or ?? I would prefer to go with hardwood if it's practical. Thanks in advance.

  • Any swahili speakers out there?

I sent a birthday greeting to a friend from Kenya in Swahili, somehow she figured out that I used google. She sent me the following message: "sawa, asante sana na umejaribu sana! mungu akubariki!" and told me to have fun trying to figure out what it meant. Any help with translation would be appreciated! Asante!

  • What are your thoughts about this: abortion doctor admits he is killing?

Had to find the cached version, the station apparently removed the interview from their website:

At least this one's being honest I suppose, but shouldn't he be arrested? I'm sure this is going to bring up a variety of reactions here at R&S, let 'em rip.

  • CONCAFers: Were you rooting for Uruguay or Costa Rica?

I'm betting most, like me, were glad Uruguay won. CR fans being the way they are, I think only EL Tri is more disliked within CONCACAF. But could I be wrong??

  • To Muslims especially: If Yahweh=Allah, why won't the Malaysians release "Allah Bibles"?

The Malaysian government has refused to release 10,000 Bibles which it seized because they contained the word Allah to refer to God. The government, which is dominated by Muslim Malays, claims that the word Allah is Islamic and that its use in Bibles could upset Muslims.

I happen agree with the notion that Christians and muslims don't worship the same deity (despite the fact that Arab Christians refer to Yahweh as Allah), but normally muslims dispute that. So I'd be particularly interested in seeing what muslims think of this situation.

  • Does anyone else think Archundia took money to help the dreaded gringos out?

    I answered this question earlier:

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AsKwV...

The more I think about it, the most amazing it seems. If you do agree, what do you think the scale was? I mean gringos down by a goal, he gave 5 minutes of stoppage time. What if we were down by 2 goals, would he have added 15 minutes of stoppage time? What if el tri, the best team on earth, had managed to beat Trinidad AND the US was down by 2 goals, would he have added 30 minutes stoppage time?

  • Is Argentina gonna qualify?

They could easily lose to Uruguay Wednesday, and if Chile rests its first team Ecuador could win. This would put Argentina in 6th place meaning they can't even count on beating Honduras or Costa Rica for the final American spot. Do you think it will play out this way? I'm no Arg. fan, but it seems inconceivable that they won't make the world cup.

  • What's the magic number for Team USA?

If we beat Trinidad and Honduras, will we clinch a spot in the world cup no matter what happens in the final match with Costa Rica (granted that match doesn't seem as tough as I would have thought it was going to be a month ago)?

  • Is the financial crisis over? The senate seems to have a lot of extra time on its hands...?

The Senate has so little to do they're reviewing how the BCS chooses title games. How embarassing that my fellow republicans are involved with this... No wonder we did so well in the last election.

I always thought of Burkina Faso as a relatively poor country, but apparently I was wrong. Usman Adu of the bank of africa just emailed me to say I was getting 14.6 mil! Anyone know any good charities/mansions/cars they can recommend? Oops, Mr. Adu asked me to keep this confidential, hope I didn't blow it....
